Today has been one of those busy busy days

It would have been easy to skip my run today;

Had a migraine threatening because of the storm coming in

Needed to get home and check on my daughter

Get across town to get the boys for dinner

But instead I did something I never do

I changed in the locker room at the gym

Ick!!! Ick!!! Ick!!! Ick!!! Ick!!! Ick!!!

I don't like changing in the locker room because I don't like people looking at me and of course when you don't like people looking at you it seems like everyone is looking at you LOL

I don't even like going in the locker room because I am scared of germs...I got athlete's foot at a doctor's office once I think that turned me into a germaphob, or whatever they call it.

I imagine I was a hilarious sight trying to change without showing one single piece of skin and not touch anything at the same time. I pulled my feet from my shoes and stood on my shoes, was doing pretty good with the changing but I lost my balance and touched the bench EEEWWWWW.

Now some of you are thinking, "Doesn't she go to the gym regularly?" Yes I do, but I either change at work (where I am certain the cleaning crew cleans every surface), or go home and change then go to the gym, I have even changed in the truck - desperate times call for desperate measures. I remember once I drove overnight to go to a job interview and showered and dressed for it at a truck stop - in the truckers showers. LOL My husband's idea and he provided shower shoes.

Do I feel any different about the locker room? NO

But I am glad that I got my run in.

Anybody else feel like this and find it hard to be flexible?

    Yeah I totally understand. Locker rooms are an unfortunate combination of public restrooms and undesired nudity, neither of which are good things.

    I wear a pair of rubber jandals so not to touch the floor.. I take my own towels and make sure my body is dry before I stand on the towel to dry my feet..
For the most they gals at my gym keep the place super tidy, they come every hour scrap the water away remove hair from the drains, make sure the toilet is clean and there is hand and toilet paper plus soap..
The gym I go to now is sparking clean to my last one, they had muck growing on the windows this freaked me out and one of the elderly dump a incontient napkin in the rubbish stinking the place out lol..
I love my new gym, I will pay extra for good service. They also have a complaint/praise box we can write suggestions..
