DH and I went out to dinner last night, to celebrate the day before payday, to celebrate my normal ultrasound, to celebrate life and all. And neither of us wanted to cook.
I had sesame seed crusted salmon (about 6 oz) with tropical fruit chutney (no mango, I checked); steamed vegs; rice pilaf (which I didn't finish). We shared a slice of chocolate mousse pie (1/12 of the whole, so 75% of the listing in SP).
Now, that sounds like a lot of food. And decadent. Not dieting. Keep in mind that breakfast was a slice of banana bread and two tea lattes with sugar-free vanilla from the coffee cart. Lunch was turkey on whole wheat pita and baby carrots. Snack was a small apple and one string cheese.
I came in at a whopping 1380 calories. I was shocked. I figured the day would be at least 1550, if not more. I felt like I ate three good meals. I was never hungry.
Wow. The power of smart choices! It really paid off!
