I thought cutting back on my portions was going to be un-doable, but I'm finding it's not so hard at all. Instead of a whole sandwich, I have a half of one. Instead of two enchiladas, I have only one. Instead of a small steak, I have 3 oz or less.
My DH's aunt-in-law was very very heavy most of her life, and then in one year (in her 80's) lost a lot of weight. I asked her one day how she did it, and she said she cut all her portions in half, and ate whatever she wanted, except only half as much.
Makes sense to me.
