For the past couple of weeks I have been doing very well, exercising everyday and staying within my allotted calories. That all changed this weekend. Friday night my husband and I went out with friends, ate lots and had a few drinks. On Saturday we went to a wedding, it was a beautiful wedding with great food!! I didn't exercise on Friday or Saturday. When I got up this morning I felt myself slipping back into my old way of thinking, "I messed up for a few days so screw it I'll just keep eating whatever I want and start again next week." So I started the day with a piece of chocolate.
Then something strange happened...I stopped that downward spiral and logged on to SP, I logged in my food from yesterday and what I thought was a terrible day actually wasn't that bad. So I went on to look for a recipe for dinner. I read a few messages I received. It's so good to feel such support from other people who are going through the same struggle. Then, feeling motivated once again, I went for groceries and a walk.
The old me would have definitely spiraled down straight into a big bag of chips! However, I ended up having a great day, I am back on track. It feels great. I feel like it is really different this time, I think SP is helping to keep me on track in many ways.
