Another major woo hoo!

I work shift work so when i am on midnight shift, i basically do nothing which worries me since i am afraid of going backwards. once i come out of my hole from working night shift and i swing back to days, i set my goals for the next 24 days of days and afternoons where i can live like a real person. one of my goals was to get my running distance up to 1.5 miles. my FIRST day back to a normal schedule i went running and i did 2.1 miles - RIGHT OFF THE BAT! i was stunned and elated! i had made this big deal about working up to 1.5 miles over the next 24 days and POW! i went over that by .6 miles.

this is sooo huge because even when i was in the USAF, we only had to run 1.5 mile for our PT test and i was a hard core slacker that hated to workout so i never did more than i had to so i never ran more than 1.5 miles EVER. Today at 40 years old and 110 lbs heavier, I ran further than i ever have in my life. how sad that i wasted my younger years on stupidity. i cant reclaim wasted years but i can sure be committed to making the future better than it has ever been before.

Well done! You definitely have the right attitude. I know that I writing this several years after you wrote this blog, but to me it is as fresh as if you wrote it today.
