My ankle is still doing really well. I make sure to wear my wrap during each workout and that seems to be doing the trick. They say your ankle will never heal 100% after it's been sprained so my goal is to get it as close as possible and take care of it.
I'm very happy to say I've found a running buddy. My sister in law has been going with me the last two weeks and I love it. She is basically at the same level as I am so we keep a good pace for each other. We are repeating week 3 now (can I ever get away from it?) which is good for both of us. It gives her a better base to move forward and it gives my ankle more time to get stronger.
We ran W3D1 on Tuesday and really pushed hard. It felt fantastic! We were both feeling really good and I ran my fastest intervals yet. We paid for it on the last 3 min run though. That was a long one. Not sore the next day and I'm happy for that.
Also in running news I've decided to sign up for a half marathon March 26th. I've printed and filled out the application already and will send it in probably next month. I'm only waiting because I didn't budget for the race fees.
March is probably to soon for me to be able to run the distance since I don't run a mile straight right now but I'm excited for it. My plan is to finish the C25K program then jump into a 12 week program for the half. Depending on how it goes that should get me capable of running ten to eleven miles at a time.
I also really enjoyed telling Hubs last night that I was signing up for a half and he said, 'OK'. He didn't question my ability at all, just agreed that I was going to do it.
Tonight is W3D2 then Sunday for W3D3. I'm trying to take my dogs for a 2-3 mile walk on my off days. It's good for me to keep moving and they of course love it. Hopefully it will keep them out of trouble. Stinkers ate a loaf of bread a couple days ago and last night it was four apples, core and all.
