Before I began my journey to a healthy lifestyle, I was consuming probably @2500 calories a day! I joined sparkpeople in Nov of 2008. I had such a hard time keeping my calories under 1800. I felt deprived some days. Now, I aim for about 1700 calories a day. I have a hard time REACHING this number. I have learned to eat more fruits and veggies. I thought I ate enough before, but I wasn't. I was eating A LOT more empty calories. It is such a good feeling to know I have succeeded! I honestly believe this healthy lifestyle has helped me in so many ways. I don't get sick as often (colds and things) as before. I don't need to take a multi-vitamin anymore! I have more energy and countless more benefits! I can honestly say I am definitely NOT deprived!
