My Wagon Had A Flat ....

After four months of working hard...and losing every week...my life took a tail spin..
I had ended my relationship with a lifetime friend...only to invite her back for a few weeks of high compulsive eating. My friend was so kind...caring...and made my life numb to the effects of life. I understood what I was doing...after all I was the adult...but why was eating so very important??? It tasted wonderful...like having it the first time and not getting enough...
Then afterwards having the feelings of weakness....being guilty...I never asked her to come back into my life..I don't know how to keep her GONE....I am doing much better today...
I don't know if anyone has a friend like me....if you do...help me kiss her goodbye...
I regained 15lbs...from 430--371--God I need a helpful buddy....yes.....

    That Fat no good "Friend" of yours sure gets around---cause she's been at my house a LOT lately!


    Next time, just slam the door in her face and tell her that you have the entire SparkPeople Army behind you and if she wants a fight--then BRING IT ON!!!

    Come on you are more than that my friend and i'm here for you i all ways was huh !!! You need to hold your head up and don't take in that food is the answer it is the problem you know what you know that it last for a short time and it is gone , like a couple of drinks feel good for a while and then you wake up !!!

    If I am reading this right - you mean that your lifelong friend IS food - and that she came a-visiting. Am I right? Yes, I know her too. Much too well. She knocks on my door many evenings and lately I have been able to tell her to go away. But she is very persistant.

    Just hang on with everything you've got and pull yourself back. Find your inner strength and courage and do whatever you have to do to ignore this "friend" when she wants to hang out with you!

    This person is NOT your friend. Friends don't help you sabotage your good goals. You've recognized the problem. I agree with PEDIPOD. If she comes calling, let her know straight out that you WILL NOT be doing any eating together.

    I know how difficult it can be to stay committed to a health life style & have someone who is special promote bad habits. Have you tried talking about it? Is this friend healthy? Maybe with a honest discussion & sharing your committment the friend would help or join you?

    WOW! Sounds like you realize what happened, If you need to have a buddy I will try to be that buddy for you, You know the ruby team has a extended team called womens fat night, it is all talking about weight related issues there, and we are currently signing up buddies there.
