The RAW Blog: Fall Cleanse Day 2

[77 days Raw and counting]
You would think that after 77 days living on raw foods that I would be past the detox stage.
It's interesting, doing a cleanse, when you already think you're following the system pretty well. It reminds you that you it takes more than 77 days to clean out years and years and years of toxic build-up.
Other than the lightheadedness yesterday afternoon, I haven't had any headaches. But my face is beginning to break out. Not the huge, subcutaneous stuff (sorry to gross you out) from my first week raw, but unattractive little bumps nonetheless.
Also, I had trouble sleeping last night.
But by this afternoon I felt renewed energy. I got outside and did some yard work (we're supposed to have heavy rain and wind all day tomorrow). Right now, I'm feeling pretty good!
I just want to give you an idea of what you might expect if you decide to do this cleanse.
Here's what I ate today (so far):
About 10 valencia oranges - juiced. This came out to four full glasses. I sipped on this from 7:00 am - 8:00 am.
Later I had about 5 bananas.
Around lunch time I had a green drink (juiced, not a smoothie) consisting of 1 head of kale, about 1/4 head of spinach, 3 stalks celery, 1 whole cucumber, and 1 apple.
I confess this one was not easy to swallow. I do not like kale and spinach. Fortunately, I plan to only have this 3, maybe 4 times this week (until the ingredients run out).
Later in the afternoon I had a whole apple.
I just finished a salad of romaine lettuce, shredded carrot, celery and tomatoes with lemon juice squeezed on top.
Now, I LOVE my salad dressings so I thought it would be really hard to have a salad with no olive oil.
My taste buds have changed quite a bit since going raw! It was a delicious salad. Very flavorful. I'll try it tomorrow with lime instead of lemon.
Later on, if I'm feeling hungry, I'll have a papaya/banana pudding. The papaya is getting pretty ripe so I need to eat it soon.
Oh, by the way, 2 pounds down since yesterday. But this week isn't so much about the weight loss as it is about getting back on track with the raw basics of fruit and veggies. And also, building up my energy stores for a challenging week next week as I'm off to Chicago for another event.
P.S. Someone, I think FLAMENM, was asking about B12. That is the only supplement I take. Every AM, sublingual.
