Now that summer is coming to an end, are there any changes you'll be making to your diet and exercise routine?
Yes, now that the days are getting shorter and colder, I can see my morning walks becoming shorter too. So instead of burning 500 calories in the morning I will be lucky to burn 300 now.
As part of my lifestyle changes, this means that I must either increase my calorie burn later in the day or reduce my calorie intake by at least 200 calories daily.
Since this is my first winter in Weight Maintenance I am not sure what will happen but I do know that I will be ever vigilant in watching my numbers.
**edit: For the Sparkers living 'down under', when the seasons change, I try to adapt. I will be walking more in the afternoons and when really too cold outside I will do the treadmill again. I check my calories in vs. calories out on a daily basis so I should be able to maintain without stressing.
