Fat days

Friday, October 09, 2009

This is so F^%$#@ frustrating!!
I work my butt off at the gym, which I really DO NOT enjoy, I eat clean and controlled, and just because I eat a chocolate bar in a moment of weakness I gain 2 lbs. I feel terrible today.
I know it is childish, I should get over the way my butt looks, but fat days are awful, and today is one of them.

Yeah, it's hard not to feel frustrated sometimes!

Are you weighing yourself everyday? My weight fluctuates by two to five pounds depending on "that time of the month". If I have been very bad with my diet it can be even more! Especially because I'm most like to give in to temptation right before my period arrives. I stopped weighing myself every day for just that reason.

I wouldn't worry too much about the chocolate bar, or berate yourself for your "moment of weakness". I bet that two pounds "flows" right off pretty soon! emoticon

Hang in there and don't forget there will be skinny days as well. I do not know how long you've been at this but sometimes the body retains water and nutrients when you begin a workout program so you actually experience a mild gain right before you begin to experience the weight loss. But don't forget you're not alone. We all have those fat days and I do not think it is at all childish to want to look better and feel better. Good luck to you.

trust me i know the feeling, i really wouldn't take it to heart though b/c if you are doing strength training that can make your weight fluxuate a few pounds i gained 5 pounds last week but when i measured myself i lost 1 inch in my waist and 2 inches in my thighs.....strength training, it shows when you measure more than when you weigh. also, you are not going to gain 2 pounds from one candy bar! but the next time you feel like chocolate try the special k bars.....soooo good and only 90 calories! keep your head up

It's unlikely that one chocolate bar made you gain 2 lbs-lol. It's most likely water-weight so relax! It'll come right back off! I agree with you that this is frustrating! It was so much easier to gain the weight than it is to lose it!
