Working Mom Pity Party

Friday, October 09, 2009 was one of those morning I really hate working outside the home. Brooke woke up a little bit early, but still later than she had been a couple weeks ago. For some reason, she was still tired and therefore whiney and not easily appeased. She took forever nursing so we were running behind and she just kept putting her arms up to me to pick her up. I still had to get dressed, make up on, get her dressed, etc. I know SAHMs have it happen to them too, just for me, this morning, if I didn't have to go to work, I could have sat on the floor and held her for as long as we wanted. At least its Friday.....

I hear ya. And it always seems like the mornings that I am in a rush is when they need you most.

I'm sorry it was such a rough morning.

I'm not a working outside the home mom, but I definetly have those times when we need to get somewhere on time (we have lots of homeschool activities the kids are involved in) and its always those times that the baby nurses the longest - Its like they know and want that extra mommy time.

I have the same feelings of the morning when I have to get up... and leave my 8 month baby boy with my baby sitter. Sometimes it frustrates me to know in, and I also have myself a pity party! I Have the job with the benefits.. so I have to remind myself it is for the family. I hate it though. (guess I just added to your pity party.. sorry!)
Hang in there.. It is Friday! The weekend we can spend holding them.

Being a working mom isn't easy. I know since I am a FT working mom to boys 10 and 12 years old. We make use of every minute and look forward to weekends and holidays. Welcome to SP!
