I have been keeping myself busy considering I am gimped up. My surgery went exceptionally well. I am sporting new hardware and now the hot pink cast for the next 4 weeks. I have about 10 more weeks before supposedly I am cut loose to walk but if I was a betting gal, I bet I can cut 2 weeks off that time minimum. I am doing some web work to keep myself busy (like I don't have a laundry list of things to do) but I am adding product to my spouse's employer's website. I have started the winter craft spree since Christmas is coming. And I am trying to find us a place to live - since Ms SlumLord has quit speaking to us, leaving us in limbo but paying full rent for half a house. Always interesting trying to move when you can't walk!

I am still tending to Aliegh who is now 7 months old. I can't tend to her overnight quite yet but we do okay hanging during the day. She LOVES riding around in the basket on my knee scooter. We are two wild scooter chicks tearing it up around the house. I have also had great fun making baby food! I love to cook and I never made my own kids baby food. But my girlfriends who had just visited me hooked me up with a fantastic cookbook and a food mill. So Ms Aliegh is dining on sole cooked in orange juice and blended with leeks and carrots, chicken breasts with sweet potatoes and grapes, and a variety of different fruits. She is loving it, I enjoy doing it, and of course Abe LOVES helping her by cleaning up at every opportunity!

Abe helping clean off Aliegh's cracker crumbs:

Abe going in for the cleanup of sweet potatoes!

Scooter chick - beep beep!

Bonus - not only beep beeps but great to chew on!

Glad to see your attitude hasn't changed - you can never keep a good woman down for long. I'm not taking that bet on the 10 versus 8 weeks cuz I know you will be up and at em sooner than those docs think!

BTW can you send Abe by to clean up behind my messy bird? He tosses anything he doesn't want out of his cage and Abe could run clean up on him LOL!

A is just too cute and will be a great inspiration to keep you going - not that you need one.

Leave it to you to find a way to care for a baby while recouping from surgery. You amaze me and A is dang lucky to have such a rockin' gramma.

You are one tough bird!! LOL.

Aliegh is adorable. Such a cutie. And of course it is good to see Abe. He looks like a great baby sitter.
