Not so great..but getting better

Thursday, October 08, 2009

Ok so I have proven to myself 3 things the past 2 weeks.

1. I am committed to changing my life and my health...finally and for real!

2. I DO have the ability to make good healthy choices when I go out to eat (so long as it's a place that has healthy offerings.) And that extends to my beloved Starbucks and numerous other coffee shops. No-Fat Latte's are yummy as are No-Fat less sugar mocha frappes. Still trying to figure out how to make my Caramel Apple Spice less fattening.

3. My willpower needs major work. It's easy for me to fall of the wagon and chow without thinking. When that happens it's hard to get back on the wagon. But I CAN DO IT!! Basically Willpower need to match Commitment. Willpower + Commitment = Success!

I am determined to complete my mission of A Stone By Christmas/Yule! I CAN DO THIS!!!

So today I am in a low energy place. Usually when this happens I don't do much of anything. But today I am working toward conquering that too. I have to make myself move! I have some fun things coming up!

Today I am going to sign up for the Gym...FINALLY! I'll post when I get that done!

Tonight I am going to a club with a friend of mine who has a friend in a band he wants me to meet. I don't usually go out so this should be fun and interesting!

Tomorrow is Friday and I have nothing planned...BUT...and this is a BIG BIG BIG thing for me... My darling wife will be home! She will put in around 10pm and be here for the weekend!! I am so excited...and oddly nervous. LOL

Saturday my daughter and I get new glasses, then we have Pagan Pride Day at Zilker park that we are going to. All proceeds go to the Food Pantry! Then that evening we're going to see my oldest nephew at a school Marching Band Finals contest. He is a section leader and we are all so proud of him.

Sunday is my youngest nephew's first birthday. I'm doing the menu and cooking. I love to do that kind of thing. I've been teased that I should go into catering...uuhh bad idea! LOL So cooking begins tomorrow!

Then, sadly, my wife leaves to go back to Baton Rouge Sunday too. 1 month down and 11 more to go before she can be transferred back home. I'll be so happy when it's over.

Anyway...there's my weekend in a nutshell.

Hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend!

You can do this. I can do this. We just have to keep trying. Glad to hear Crystal got a chance to make it home. Last I talked with you, you weren't sure when she'd make it. Take care!
