Sunday, October 04, 2009

I had to have a minor outpatient surgery- It was a disaster I woke up half way during procedure my body which for a short girl who weighs 129 is very muscular now so I need more drugs than the average bear, luckily they gave me more-. After I was in recovery for a hour they wanted me to drink soda through a straw,, now I never ever and nor will I drink soda so I said NO , I dont drink that crap can I have some water instead please? The nurse looked at me and said no you have to drink the soda and then when you go to the restroom you can go- she left I drank the water, FOLKS I never want to sip a soda it is a big deal to me-
They finally gave me unsweet ice tea, then the lunch cart was brought in I said I will eat at home since I hate fried fish and chips, WTF at a hospital fried fish and chips, only in lincoln county could that really happen- no wonder each nurse was 100lbs overweight that is just wrong--- and our health care of our nation is horrid,, uggg,, well its a big deal I hope things change one day- but I changed me so that is what is different.

BAH! I hate hospitals :( I'm never happy in a hospital. My mother was a floor nurse for 20 years.. I can't imagine working there for that long! I'm sorry about your experience! and I hope you fell a whole lot better. :)

I had my son two years ago and I was just like you impressed beyond believe and so disappointed about the menu they offered. Lucky me, I got to spend 5 days in the hospital b/c I ended up having a c-section. Yeap, fried everything, that what they offered, not just fish and french fries, but chicken, etc. Ah, the only thing that wasn't fried was the mashed potatoes or the jello. They even had pizza on the menu. And keep in mind that I delivered my child in a very renowned Boston hospital. God help us.
