What a busy weekend. I'm sure that I'm not alone. I find what suffers most is the time to exercise. I participated in the "nurse tent" for an event called Dogtoberfest. This is a benefit for a local service dog organization. Hundreds of dogs and their owners come to participate in a "parade of dogs" where you can show off your mutt or breed, sales booths, police dog demonstrations, food, fun, etc. One of my Lime Lite Ladies from my team at the gym was there with her adorable dog and one of the dogs from work brought her family. She had a dalmation and another white dog with very few spots- poor dear, she told me that the dog is a purebred dalmation but got "shorted on spots". I guess we all have our own cross to bear. Only two injuries during the event, both minor. It was a fun day- wish that I'd brought a jacket.
My son then had homecoming- he went with a group of friends so right after dogtoberfest I was getting prepared to drive him there and take pics.
My sister is out of town- went to care for her dogs and cats and then did errands at 930 pm. Whew. I then came home and decided to empty out a dresser and a huge tote box and got 4 huge bags of clothing, etc, to donate.
What suffers??? The workout. I really have found that even though I don't want to exercise some days, I feel so much better when I do. The days ahead are busy ones and I need to find a way to plan for more time to exercise. Exercising also gives me time to think and reflect.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Focus on the positive and workout the negative!
