In the year since I started at my new job, the 3 pounds I needed to lose have turned into 8. Why? Well, free food in a fully stocked kitchen + lunch brought in on Thursdays has helped. Add in a new emotional eating habit & a changed schedule (leading to getting hungrier than I should), and, well...In addition, I moved for my job, closer to family which is great! Which leads to going out more often - which is not as good.

So what needs to change?
Recognizing my bad habits - Remembering that stress eating doesn't help, it hurts. And remember that because I want something, I don't have to have it.

Planning better - Always have the healthy snacks that I love available. For Thursdays, stick with a single plate with space between small servings.

Stick with the exercise I love. The one bright spot in the last year has been finding a great gym and loving the classes there. Plus the power of library dance DVDs.

I need to be committed. This is important. To my health, my happiness...all of it.
