Damn you Thomas Edison

So I just had two lightbulbs burn out in 24 hours. This within days after using up my last good one on yet another burned-out bulb.

SP relevance - yes, there is some: this was the *kitchen* light, meaning that when I got home hungry around eight, I couldn't cook anything. The dinner plan of "chick peas in korma sauce" was replaced with "goat cheese, Ritz crackers, and raspberry jam", because that didn't require washing dishes or seeing anything. (Yes, I have a flashlight. No, I don't want to deal with washing knives or cooking on a gas stove while holding it.)

So it looks like I'm bagging tomorrow's Turkish class so I can run down to the hardware store. BAH, I SAY, BAH.

Better than flashlights--those little LED puck lights! I bought mine cheap-cheap at Walmart. Great for camping and power outages, far less expensive than Coleman stuff. Much safer than candles for kids to carry around. Grab some (puck lights, not kids) along with the light bulbs.

Turkish class? Cool, but why? Very curious!

Cooking by flashlight is too much like camping. Sorry you will miss Turkish class.
