Holidays and New Ways doesnt have to lead to anxiety or to much Pie- ity

Monday, September 28, 2009

Well This year Thanksgiving is at my house and in the past all the holdiay celebrations make me anxious since I am a former people pleaser and clean plate club eater, now I am a fitness trainer armed with intelligence and solutions. I love gathering with people I truly do but as my first fitness competition comes up I have to keep the diet the same and the work outs consistant. I have scoured the magazines for some alternatives and found that I can work my meals around everyone elses. This year I am doing 6 5ks around Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, before I would find the couch and the movies not this time. Luckily I have everyone on board, my family and I mean my sister ( I used to call her skinny sister but I am smaller than her now) and my mom, in laws etc,, all want to go hiking and walk running the 5ks, thats great. As far as friends I have to host a halloween party I can assure you that I will have a great healthy menu available. No more Pie but instead I see why my zipper on my size 4 jeans go up, where last year the 12s were snug----
that is the best piece of pie a girl could eat,,, piety.

Hey--pumpkin pie at my house this year will be crust-free! It makes a WORLD of difference! No sugar, either. I just gave up sugar 2 weeks ago d/t insulin resistance. Finally made the scales move again. I HEAR ya!

Way to go, you look incredible!
