Even SP Bumped Up My Calories?!?!?

Saturday, September 26, 2009

Hi Everyone reading this!

Recently, I lost a couple more pounds and when I logged it in on the weigh-in page, it came up with this little message to do something with my calories. To be honest, I was/am confused. Why, if I am at a LOWER weight, do I have to consume MORE calories? Seems backwards to me. I know... "google" it. Or, better yet, do an SP search. That will even get me a point! emoticon

So I looked a little bit later on, only to see that SP had bumped up my calories for me. By 300 something calories!!! emoticon AND it had lowered my exercise calories burned. Somehow I thought only I was the one who could do this? Anyway, I was at 1200-1500 calories and now I'm up to 1,580 - 1,930 calories.

I'm currently working with my dietitian who has me around 1200 calories and THAT'S hard for me to do... I mean, she doesn't really want me to do that, she wants me above that, but that's my minimum. GRRR... I'm so confused about the whole thing. Sorry if I seem dumb!

I just began today and came across your blog. My Doctor has told me to consume 900 calories/day. At first I was flabbergasted and angry but since trying other plans i.e. weight watchers and others, I went back to my Dr. He suggested I see a dietitian I was actually looking one up when I found sparks. It wouldn't allow me to put 900 calories as my goal. 1000 was the minimum. Ive got 50 lbs to loose.

I thought the member was the only one who could do that, too. I frequently get "You've gone over your weekly calories burned goal by a significant amount. Your calories eaten goal will not adjust automatically. If you have increased the amount of exercise you are doing, you should update your fitness settings here to make sure you are consuming enough calories to support the additional activity." Interesting...

But if that's what your dietician has you at, you can go ahead and change it back.
