My birthday, Sept 24

Friday, September 25, 2009

Well I made it to my goal. Crabby Dick's in Key West. I wanted to celebrate by eating a soft shell crab sandwich, but I don't feel like it.

My walk was 1486.84 miles in 418 days... That is only an average of 3.56 miles per day. That isn't even that good.

I think the fact that it is over has me a little depressed, but I actually liked doing it.

I'm not sure what to do now. I will continue to log miles. I think I may Hop on a boat and sail to Cuba and continue south on my walk.

WOW. Around the world??? Way to go!! Now that is what I call a goal...

Love you map with all the blue lines and dots to show where you've been. Neat idea.

emoticon Great job

(edited because I can't think straight some days.)

Thanks everyone... I'm actually walking with two others. We are combining our miles to go around the world. We started at Quantico, VA and are near Papua, New Guinea after about 1050 days. Total of 10926.4 miles as of June 30.

I stopped by here so I could subscribe to your blogs and what do I find? You've already made it to Key West!

So...where next? What's your new goal?

I was a walking goal. I live in southern Illinois but I did this as a virtual walk to Key West from home. I think I would have needed to run the whole way to get to a weight loss goal.

I wish I could walk 4.56 miles a day. LOL But considering I could hardly step upon my curb before I lost weight I will not complain.

Congratulations to reaching your goal. Now you are to maintain it. I am a bit confused though. Did you meet your weight loss goal or your virtual walking goal.

Think of how many people would have given up before they made it to their goal! Hats off to you for sticking with it, even if it took longer than you planned.

I hope your birthday was a happy one!
