Goal weight change.

After much debate over my goal weight, I have decided to change it from 140 to 155 lbs. I was talking with my husband about it and I was just afraid that 140 is not a realistic goal weight for me yet. I have never been 140. At 14 and 15 I weighed 155 and that was actually a healthy weight for me. Everyone thought that I may have been losing too much weight. With my build I don't think I can be healthy at 140. I'm going to work to 155 and see how it goes from there. If I don't look too skinny or unhealthy than I will shoot for 155-140.

I feel like I am letting myself down with changing my goal weight, but I just want to be realistic and healthy.

    You can always change it like you said and continue if you think it's realistic. You're doing great and it's smart that you have adjusted to what you think is a realistic goal. emoticon

    See how you feel once you hit 155, you have the discipline and heart to achieve whatever goal you want. If you want to try 140 go for it and see, if all else fails you can sensibly go back to 155 and maintain.

    good plan...i was just thinking about this for myself today as well. the last time i was at 143 i struggled very, very hard to be there. it just wasn't natural for me, and i had to practically starve myself to keep from gaining. i was at 17% body fat, moody, my hair thinned out and all i could think about was when i could eat next. just not healthy! so i upped my goal weight as well, and do not plan on going lower than 150, and i'd be happy with 155. :) best wishes to you!

    Definitely just get to 155 and see how you feel about it. My goal weight may not be my ULTIMATE goal. I just... don't want to set it too low and feel like I have to achieve some unrealistic standard for myself that may not be healthy. I think this is a smart decision.

    Keep it real darlin. Don't let yourself get down by changing your goal weight. It's not unrealistic. Keep your head high and do what you need to do.
