It has been a little over 2 months since I heard about and joined Spark People and canít believe how much it has changed my life....in a good way!
Today was my weekly weigh-in day and I am happy to report I got to see that number continue to fall in the right direction - DOWN!! On August 20th, I decided to stop weighing myself on a daily basis because it was emotionally taking a toll on my life and my personal relationship since I would let that stupid number dictate my mood for the day. I am happy to report that one month later, I am still only weighing myself weekly. I can actually go the club, workout, head to shower AND yes walk right past that scale without thinking twice.
I am not sure what has happened in the past 3 weeks that finally kick started my weight loss; was it the new exercise routine, the removal of the daily scale stress or was it SP nutrition tracking?? I am sure it was a combination of all three and I couldn't be happier.
I have learned so much by tracking my nutrition and perhaps have even become somewhat obsessed with eating healthy. I am constantly looking up food at restaurants on my Blackberry or getting a craving at night only to check my daily calorie count before caving into the hunger pain. Even though I am a recovering Anorexic Bulimic, I don't feel that these new obsessions are being done in an unhealthy manner. I am instead learning to eat properly and consume the proper amount of calories to compensate for my rigorous workout routine.
I also want to take this time thank YOU, all of my SP Friends for your continued support. I enjoy reading your comments & blogs and believe having people supporting me throughout my journey has been a huge factor in my weight loss.
My goal was to lose 14 pounds by October 31st and I only have 5lbs to go and I am without a doubt that I will meet that goal and/or more by that date.
