Cleaning Poem

I asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess.
He asked if I'd been 'computering',
And I had to answer 'yes.'

He told me to get off my fanny,
And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.

I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick....
I was just admiring my good work.

I didn't mean to 'click.'

But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.

Nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's very, very shiny.
I guess my house will stay a mess....
While I sit here on my hiney. author unknown, by 1HAPPYSPIRIT

*sigh* even my mouse ain't shiny, lol. but I did get my internet back today! that was the worst afternoon & evening of my life! I am hopelessly addicted to Spark! emoticon

How did we survive without computers and cellphones? We feel lost without them (sigh). I actually miss kite flying in the park but I can't figure out how to do it while balancing a laptop on my knee :-)

I'm glad you blogged about the poem! To give you a little background, my darling Sister In Law sent this to me. I shared it with TM123 and LouLouBelle2 -- fellow Spark friends. It is not my intention to offend anyone by sharing the poem. I should note that I have been blessed by a wonderful cleaning lady and she deserves all the credit for our clean home!!!! I hope those reading the poem find it as humorous as I did!

I thought I was bad cause I do SP at work on my "spare time" and then I get home and turn the desk top computer on in the back bedroom (once in awhile) but now that my DH (it is his fault) got me a notebook computer I turn it on and sit it on the coffee table and log onto SP when I get home EVERY NIGHT............. Yep I guess I am addicted too.

    Loved this.

PS I am currently thinking of replacing my cell phone with a new iPhone too..................ha

Amen to that. I'm addicted too. But since I have a smaller home and a daughter who crabs when the table is cluttered, my house stays reatively neat. LOL!

    Good one Linda AND 1Happyspirit,

I know the feeling, especially recently when my iPhone was down for over a week. It's my connection when I'm away from my 'puter.

And my iPhone screen is seldom shiny, too many fingerprints, LOL

Have a wonderful day and may your tomorrow be even better yet!

this is so true. I can not come to the back of the house without checking into the computer room to see what is new.

When I have a lot of messages I try real hard to check them and then get out of "earshot" before I hear that little sound that lets me know another message has arrived. emoticon

Thank you for starting my day off with a laugh!
Tomorrow is my 1 year Sparkversary and the only days I was not logged in to Spark were days when I was out of town. At least it is a healthy addiction!
