***Thankful for my family***

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

I haven't blogged for a long while. Haven't really felt like it, to be quite honest. My last blog was about mending fences with those you love. I had a fence that was mended with my sister-in-law. She passed away 2 months after I blogged that. She was only 33. It is hard to believe that she's been gone for almost 4 months. I am so thankful for the family I have. They can grate on my very last nerve, but push comes to shove and they are there. In it for the long haul; so to speak! It has been hard without my sister-in-law, but we are making it. Her kids are doing good, and my brother, her husband, is slowly but surely making progress in the healing department. With 2 kids without a mother, he hasn't really had the luxury of stopping to grieve the way he needs to though. But he is doing what needs to be done, and I am so proud of him for the way he has stepped up. My mom has moved in with him and the kids and Leigh's (my sister-in-law) mom lives right next door, so he has had lots of help, but he is determined to try and make, his family work. Be good to your family, they are the ones God chose for you, and they mean everything! We are only on this earth for a short time. Time is of the essence. If there is a fence in your life that needs mending, please don't wait to mend it! Do it now, you will be happier for it! emoticon
