This morning was week three of my weigh-in. Last week I lost 1.6 pounds. I went to weigh in this morning and the scale said I have gained 3.2 pounds!!! At first I felt a bit defeated. I came back to spark and checked my nutrition from last week. I see where I can work on being more consistent about what I take in because I was going very close to going over to going under to my calorie intake. I need to make sure I am eating enough clories and not too much fat. But I feel like I am making the effort so that alone makes me feel good. Last thing is it could be possible that I have gained muscle!! I have been lifting a bit and working on my legs. My clothes are starting to look better but the scale isn't. Just a bit frustrating but will never give up.

    Thank you...My mom always ask me if I think I am retaining water. I have never had that problem before. Also...I have been trying to cut down on the amount of salt in my food. Unless I create a meal I will not use salt. I find myself having less tolerance for salt. I was thinking muscle mass but we will see...I am going to keep going and hopefully it will fall off. Another thing in rearg to it being that time of month...I haven't gotten one since I started BC in March...I was wondering if my BC plays a role in anything. I know it is common to gain weight when you use it and I have...But I wonder if it slows down a process that has to do with you loosing weight. I will stay strong. Thanks for the post.

    I totally understand the frustration! I do however encourage you to think about a few things:

    Is it coming up to that time of the month? (I always seem to gain that week)

    Are you retaining water? (eating salty foods)

    Have you maybe gained some muscle mass?

    There are many reasons for weight gain and it doesn't always have to be food related. I try and look at it over a few weeks.
