Movement :)

It's amazing to make this transition from sedentary to active. For the longest time it seemed I was always moving around, trying to get stuff done but not getting anything but exhausted. At the beginning of August, I joined a gym with the meager goal of going twice a week. It's been a struggle, but with that addition to my schedule, along with a career change to a much more physical occupation (I'm now a part-time massage therapist), I'm amazed by how much energy I now have.

The mental shift has really been what has been amazing. Just thinking of myself as "active," I'm more enthusiastic about finding ways to exercise, about not groaning if I have to make yet another trip up or down the stairs at home. I'm more eager to dance with my daughter in the kitchen (where she wants to install a disco ball).

Getting the rock rolling is the hard part but, once it's going, it's fun to keep it moving!
