C25K w5, Lifting, and Pilates, Oh My!

I started several new fitness components this week. I went on to W5 of the C25K, added lifting, and took my first Pilates class.
The c25K is kicking my rear. The reason is that my mind gets bored and wanders off, and then I eventually want to give up the running because I'm that bored. The good news is that I've gotten some good feedback from SP members on how to break this monotony. The bad news is that I haven't hit on a solution yet. I'm going to run again today and see if I can actually complete it.
I started lifting too. I lift with my legs on one day, chest and arms the next, and so on. I'm lifting each muscle group 3 times a week. Geesh, I'm so sore! I did 90 lbs with my back for 2 sets and 8 reps per set. I'm a wimp! This was so difficult for me, and really kills now, even though I didn't do it yesterday.
As for the Pilates, I had my first class yesterday. My core is already hurting. The only previous experience I've had with Pilates was a DVD I did years and years ago. When I was doing the DVD, it seemed so easy, I kept going to the Intermediate stage. It wasn't the next day, but it was the day after that when I was in such pain that I could hardly get out of bed!
With my core already starting to get sore, I'm sure I'm going to be hurting still by next week's class! I'll need to do those stretches we learned to minimize the soreness.
