3.5 miles - check

Monday, September 14, 2009

So I just finished 3.5 miles outside. I do believe this is my longest outdoor run to date. Woo-Hoo! I felt great too! There was a bit of a struggle toward the end, but it was a good kind of struggle; the kind where you know you're pushing your body just beyond it's comfort zone and that you'll wind up that much stronger for it.

I finished in 41 minutes. Technically it was 50 because of an unplanned pit-stop at my parent's house. About 3 blocks form their house I realized I had the key to my condo but not the key to my unit. Ooops. Luckily, they have a set of keys (I knew I gave them to my dad for a reason!), and I realized while it was still a convenient stop. I swung by, got my extra key and headed back out.

Now I'm going to take a quick shower, and make some dinner. I'm having chicken nuggets, tater tots, and corn for dinner. Not the most nutrient rich dinner, but it's fast and it'll be damn yummy. I need something quick because I want to make it to the grocery store tonight.
