Thursday Sept 10, Interesting observation

Thursday, September 10, 2009

I'm realizing my heart rate is really low normally (now that I've been doing a lot of cardio) and I'm having a hard time getting getting it up into the cardio range even though I'm working hard. I mean I'm at like 42% of my max heart rate at rest! Also, I've noticed my blood pressure has been going down each time I'm at the doctor's... but it was normal when I started. I'm not sure what is going on there although the doctor says it is still normal, but when I go online it says it is low (but barely.) I'm thinking of having a physical and of having a doctor who specializes in sports medicine or at least has an interest in that area as my general practitioner. I'd like to see the progression of my blood pressure over time and make sure nothing bad is happening. I do have quite a history of heart problems in my family! Although it would be ironic to have problems from exercise, don't you think? LOL

Today I got in ChaLean Extreme Burn Intervals (burned 277 calories) and Extreme Abs (49 calories). I'll be eating 1590 calories unless I change something up.

We got through the doctors appointments yesterday and I'm glad to have that behind us. :) I also got a call last night that our dishwasher is in and they'll be scheduling our installation in the next 48 hours! How exciting... especially for my daughter who tends to watch TV when it is on, and the existing one has something really wrong with it and it groans very loudly while working (and the repairman couldn't do anything to fix it, suggesting a replacement - that was over 2.5 years ago!) Ah yes, this is a gift for her primarily. Can you imagine, a new dishwasher is a gift for a 15 year old? haha!

Anyhow, lots going on here at work, and at home. My 11th anniversary is on Saturday, but I'll be at a womens' retreat. I already have a plan on ho to celebrate it in a more meaningful way when I get back. It is going to be fun... I"m going to take my hubby back to where we had our first date for dinner! We haven't been back there since our honeymoon. :)

Good idea to see a doctor that specializes in Sports Medicine. And, good idea to have things checked out.

Happy Anniversary!

Dinner with your hubby sounds nice. One my first date with my husband we went through the Burger King drive thru backwards. It was instant love. LOL.
