I guess I'll have to ease up a little bit on this hiking business.....today I was all tuckered out after 30 minutes. I mean the kind of weak, sore muscles tuckered out. Tomorrow I'll do 20 minutes of intervals (12 seconds easy 8 seconds fast as possible for entire 20 minutes) on a stationary bike plus 20 minutes on the weight machines. The day after, I'll try another trek.
I find that using my new trekking poles really takes the pain out of my back while walking.
I really don't enjoy the exercise itself, but I love the way I feel afterward!!!!!
