I Heart My Food Processor!

Saturday, September 05, 2009

Okay, i just had to get that out there. My parents are nice enough (and financially stable enough) to offer me and hubby regular assistance, given that we actually barely make ends meet. I told them I really wanted a food processor, but we were hesitant to get one because the last time we bought a kitchen gadget (a blender), we bought an inexpensive (read: cheap) one, and sure enough it broke after only a few uses. So my parents did some research and got us a small KitchenAid. As the title indicates, it's probably the best thing that ever happened to my kitchen! I've used it to make pasta sauce, cauliflower "rice," a nutty-date crust for raw pie, ground chicken for lettuce wraps, almond butter, squash puree for cauliflower "risotto"... the list goes on! Tomorrow I'm going to pre-make some hummus (good ol' chickpea style) for the BBQ on Monday. Food processor = AWESOME! How did I ever cook without one?

I agree. I have a cheaper model that was also received as a gift, but I absolutely love it. I find more and more uses for my food processor and I also wonder the same thing. How did I ever manage without this amazing gadget?!

Hahaha! I made Hummus for the first time last weekend with my . . . wait for it . . . KITCHENAID FOOD PROCESSOR!

    I love mine, too.
