I am really starting to enjoy and even look forward to my exercise sessions. I just HAVE to get at least 30 minutes walking in every day. Then I also usually work out with Exercise TV. I really like Jillian Michaels. I also use the Yoga sections occasionally. I just found out that my hikes in the mountains on the weekends should be tracked as cross country hiking rather than just walking and I record about 2 x the number of calories burned for the same amount of time.
I was doing my modified pushups this morning and noticed how much stronger my arms are. I can bend my elbows almost to the 90 degree mark and sustain the pushups for 2 reps of 15.
I feel so much more energetic and capable and realize that this part of my program is just as important as the weight loss.
I remember one time years ago when I lost 60 pounds on a diet and was smelling the ketones coming off my breath. I had no energy or enthusiasm. I certainly wasn't healthy.
