Day 2 --Stomach Revolt

Tuesday, September 01, 2009

So it is almost the end of day 2. My stomach had attached organs are in a revolt. I guess some would say it is my body cleansing itself, but i thought that my take longer. Well anyway today wasn't my best day. Felt like i had heartburn and it made the driving the 170miles for my job feel more like 600miles. but i made it home. I didn't even stop for my one treat of plain iced tea from starbucks, that's how crappy i felt. lol. But despite all that, i am happy and still focused on this change in my life. I just got done listening to a audio book, in my car as i drive everyday. it is called "Skinny Bastards" there is also mate to that book called "Skinny Bitches" for the lady's. Catchy titles isn't it. My wife found them and picked them up. I really enjoyed it, it talks about the benefits and reason to go vegetarian or vegan. I learned alot, but i also know everyone has and agenda. So i have to decided what i believe or want to believe in. Jamie picked vegan as a way of life, because of the way animals are treated and she knows it is healthier for her. I chose to go vegan, mainly for the health reasons. but i have learned alot about the cruelty to animals and more to the point, all the antibiotics, growth hormones etc given to the animals. But i have to be honest, i care all about that, and will spend more time learning about it. But i still love "Meat" and meat byproducts. Sorry that's just the way i am. but who knows has i go through this transformation, i may change my belief totally. So twos days down, and still feeling pumped. Talk to ya tomorrow

Keep it up! Are you committed to becoming completely vegan? There are a lot of non-cruel no-hormones meats and eggs, etc. that you can buy. Anyway - YOU'RE DOING GREAT!!! Keep at it and pretty soon you'll look back and your stomach won't rebel any more. I just did the lemonade diet for 2.5 days (I was going to do it for 3 days, but I didn't figure out the right amount of maple syrup to buy and I didn't want to buy any more). My stomach just barely had time to "cleanse" and is still going. It'll probably be all better by tomorrow, but the point is that it takes 3 days for food to move out of the body. It could be a couple more for your system to get used to all of this. Hey! Are you seeing a nutritionist through this? That would be cool to have professional help with it!! Although books are amazing too! YAY!! KEEP IT UP!!!
