Today was my official start of doing cardio again. I have not done any cardio in three months and today it kicked my butt. It did not help that I had just completed a 50 minute Back workout with 10 minutes of ab work.
I was scheduled to do 30 minutes of a 12% incline on the treadmill. I actually lasted 25 minutes and was sweating up a storm. I had visions of starting the 30 minute a.m. cardio and 30 minute p.m. cardio this week but I think I need to take baby steps and let my body get back use to doing cardio again before I hit it with double shifts of cardio. I am planning to work back to the double cardio next week.
I had my body fat taken today at the gym by one of the personal trainers. He did a three point caliper test for me. My body fat turned out to be 17% which I am happy with. I was hoping to keep it around 16% during the muscle building phase so I am happy with the results. I need to only go down 5% in body fat during the next three months and I will be at 12% body fat.
I had a great day nutrition wise. Last time the trainer had me doing fat burners twice a day, which I don't think I will use this time, at least not for now. I am trying to get in all the water I am suppose to drink which actually combined with the amount of food I am eating is keeping me full. My meals are so small that right now I seem to be eating every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It really feels great not to be stuffed all the time.
Well the process has begun. I can't wait for my weigh-in this weekend to see if everything is on schedule.
