Much Ado about Everything and Nothing

Monday, August 31, 2009

Finally I am back. Dropped off the face of the Earth??? No, but I might as well have as far as my brain and getting my act together. Yet another surgery, a broken foot, and unemployment and yet 9weeks post surgery I have to say Cool, Life is pretty good!! Oh yeah, and I'm BBBAAAAACCCCKKKKKK Honey!!!

Working out - haven't. Do I feel bad? You know - not so much. I was feeling depressed for a little while about it, but then thought why be depressed, give yourself a break. Gee Whiz girl, heal thy body before trying to abuse it again. Good general policy.

As you can tell this first blog back in a while is purely random and yet an exercise none the less.

I am quite proud of myself, however that I literally went Couch to 5K - as in no training AT ALL [yes, it wasn't the smartest move, but the title of this is not Biggest Brain] and did 46:22. True I got smoked by my husband - a dude in a wheelchair by exactly 10minutes, but whose counting. I started, I finished, I had a great time, and brother do I need to train for the next one! In a perfect world I would finish around 26-28. Ah well, something to work toward.

On the food front - I completely polluted my body at the Giants game. Yup that's right, I ate it and I am owning it!! Over6 hours I ate 2 Giants dogs - catsup, mustard, relish, onions, 1/2 bog of roasted/salted peanuts, 30 garlic fries [number of fries silly, not orders], and 1 44oz diet coke. Guilt - Nope, none!!! However, when I got home I was longing for my veggies. I made some veggie juice had a handful of strawberries and called it a night. Thank goodness for veggies or my tummy would be toast today. One should NEVER eat diet food while at a BALLPARK - actually - one shouldn't even worry about what one eats at the ballpark. [Unless you are a season ticket holder and then that could equate to a bit of weight gain.]

My summer so far in a nut shell - one extreme to the other and feeling better than when it started. In this life who could really ask for anything more?

I ate a full-on delicious hamburger and fries at Islands on Friday, and I'll own that, okay? Now we're good and ready to get on with it!!
