Scared about recent weight loss

ok so i know you shouldn't loose more than 2-3lbs a week, and its not like i'm trying to loose more than that a week, hell i haven't even started exerising. But this past wee, somehow i managed to loose a whole 5lbs!!! I"m just hoping I'll be able to keep that weight off, and continue on this trend on loosing weight. My biggest fear is that I will gain that weight back and then some. I'm trying my hardest to change how i eat and what I eat. I don't know, maybe I lost 5lbs because I'm extremely heavy and have stopped eating pints of Ben and Jerry's.

    From what I've heard, it is common to lose a lot of weight when you first start out, if you are very overweight. If you're keeping track of what you're eating and you weren't before, this makes a lot of sense. Just keep eating healthy and get into exercising, and you're going to see a lot of changes I'm sure!     Don't panic. Initial weeks you are very likely to LOSE more weight than you might expect. Rejoice and be thrilled! Keep up a very positive attitude! You are rocking!

    By the way, I'm a teacher. I don't mean to bug anyone, but LOOSE is what your clothes will get when you LOSE all that weight. LOL! So many people misspell this word. Sorry - it's the teacher in me. No offense meant by it. I think you are doing an incredible job! Wish I could say that I lost 5 lbs, this week! Keep it going! emoticon

    don't worry - some weeks you will loose a lot and other weeks a little or sometimes none but don't get discouraged if you don't loose - keep on trekking

    I weigh once a month and I lost 20 the first weigh in. This month I figure about 8 which figures out to be 2 a week. I think it's probably all the crap I was eating and now I;m eating healthy. So don't worry it will level off. emoticon

    Don't worry about this. I lost 6lbs my first week and ended up loosing 25lbs the first month. Now a lot of it was water weight so I didn't see huge drops in sizes. Just keep up the healthy habits and you won't gain it back.

    Please don't get discouraged if you do gain some of that back. I find that I may go up and down a few pounds but the overall trend is down.

    Do you weigh yourself at the same time of day? your weight can fluctuate quite a few lbs if you weigh yourself at different times.

    Cutting bake on Ben & Jerry's most likely did help!! I can't even have it in the house - I find my will power to be much stronger if I don't have the temptation!
