I think I solved my coffee cart dilemma

Saturday, August 29, 2009

When I go to the coffee cart, the dilemma is always do I save a little $ and go with coffee and cream (more calories), or spend more and go with a latte (skim milk so less cals).

I think I have it solved. The tea latte. Earl Grey tea, skim milk, and sugar-free vanilla syrup. $1.75, and about 50 calories for 16 oz (or possibly fewer calories, Mr Coffee Man guessed it was more like 35 but I'd rather overestimate the milk).

Cheaper, better for me, and makes my mouth just as happy.

Me I always go for a skinny latte. Either skimmed milk or soya. But I cut down elsewhere to accomodate it. I love a strong latte so much that it is worth doing without something else. For a really special treat I will have a Latte and a low fat muffin. Absolute bliss! I have that instead of breakfast/lunch when I am having a day out at the shops with lots of walking to balance it out.

Good resolution. I've never thought of vanilla syrup in tea but that sounds yummy.
