Okay, so this monthly report will not be as detailed as the last two - mainly due to the fact that I only tracked my calories about about...ohhh...2 days in August. Yep - that's it. So let's just suffice it to say that I GAINED 3 pounds this month - and let me just say that I'm glad it wasn't 7! At least I don't have to start ALL over again.
However, I am getting back on track and I started a 10K training program and already I feel motivated, challenged and re-energized by having a fitness goal. This will take my activity level up a notch and I hope it will accelerate my weight loss through September and October.
I am leaving on vacation tomorrow where my husband and I are going to conquer as many roller coasters as we can in 6 days. That will be a blast. My plan for the week is to ask the hotel to clear out our mini-bar so I can stock it with things for breakfast and brown-bag lunches to bring to the theme parks. This will help us to stay on budget and will cut out many, many calories. We do plan to go out for dinner almost every night and I will make efforts to order calorie-friendly meals, but I will probably give myself a little leeway since I'm on vacation and I don't want to feel deprived everytime I have to stare down a menu. I figure playing it safe on breakfast and lunch, I'll probably be okay - especially with all the walking and rollercoasters.
Also, we booked a hotel with a gym and a pool. I will work out or swim every morning before we head out to the rollercoasters :o). I made a pledge to myself that I will stick to my training schedule, which means running 6K three times while in Florida. I will report back to stay accountable. I will also be breaking my weigh-in once a month rule. I will weigh in when I get back from vacation to create a baseline for September's weightloss - also I wan't to be accountable for my performance on vacation. My goal is to maintain my current weight.
