Momma said there would be days like this!!!

Do you have that one thing that no matter how good (or bad) it is you just want to keep it in your "Favorites?" You know the thing that you push the limits on, while justifying , your STILL in range? You'll exercise a little more for just a bit more? That is the mind set that I AM TRYING to break free from. Sure I know I can have it but ...everyday??? And skip breakfast just to have it??? Nope those days are OVER. Stink'in think'ins got to GO!!! I am in this for the long haul and know that there will be days like this...(momma said there would be) but the battle is mostly in my mind and the attack comes to my body. Feed me feed me. NO one can change that for me but me. We truly are a product of what we eat. I for one am changing from that butter biscuit to a shiny apple! OK maybe not yet but it's a com'in! A girl can dream huh? Reality here I come. Think positive and you'll be positive. God placed gifts and special talents in each of us and if we don't use it....we'll lose it. So today I'm unwrapping a gift....pulling a ribbon off the reveal a new and improved ME!!! I'm gonna lose it in a brand new way!!! emoticon

    I hear you, DP. I guess you have to ask yourself is that favorite worth the consequences. I read where you should plug a planned favorite into your weekly diet. So that means you workout extra minutes the day before and the day after a diet variation. The question is can you control the portion of the fav? Does the favorite food send you into a bad food frenzy? If it does, then you need to modify it to make your body happy or just leave it alone all together. I use to fall into binges because of the proverbial 'forbidden food' list' but I don't anymore because I don't say 'never' to anything. Trusting yourself and balance is key. You can do it. emoticon

    It is so easy to fall back into the old ways. But great attitude! We do have to restructure our brain at the same time we restructure our bodies. It's a change of the whole - mind, body and spirit. Good luck! emoticon Laura

    Good luck to you! It is so hard to change the way we eat. My gosh, I was brought up on meat and potatoes and one veggie for dinner. We rarely ate salad. We have to break those old habits. Out with the old! In with the new!
