you know when you go grocery shopping and you look at the person in front and behind you and what they are buying? Its either a quick look in their basket or if the put it on the conveyor belt its even better!
You look quizzically at the guy who is buying womens underwear and a pork roast.
you look at the over weight woman whose buying nothing but a trolley full of coke, chocolate, crisps, fattening ready meals and holding a leaflet on how to cook healthy
then there is the skinny woman who is kinda scary thin and she is buying celery and houmous and thats it!!
i want my shopping to look good. for people to to kind of shuffle their feet when they see it and go... wow she eats loads of healthy things and here is me holding a load of chips, chicken nuggets, ready meals and coke.
I always compare my shopping and there is always, ALWAYS! a guy in front who is buying fresh peppers, fresh fish, whole grain bread and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING classed as unhealthy! The past few weeks my shopping has been close with maybe a packet of rich tea biscuits or oven chips spoiling the "ultimate healthy shop"
i achieved my aim. oh yes! i looked down at my shopping knowing 3 things
1. i was going to eat this food, it isnt a fad. it wasnt going to be left in the fridge while i eat pizza
2.there was wholegrain bread, rice, fruits and veg, no red meat and a lot of fish
3.i had a pizza at home in the freezer. its been there 2 weeks. i have no desire to eat it. i want fish for dinner.
If there was a spark award for the ultimate healthy shop. right now i would be rolling in it. It may not seem like much to people but for me this is better than any amount of sit ups or lbs lost.
