Surgery went well. I noticed a difference almost immediately; no more pain in my arm. Still a little surface numbness, but that may take longer to resolve, if it does at all. I took a couple of days of easy. I didn't worry about much but resting and getting used to how I am feeling. My nutrition tracker isn't that great, and no exercise, but I am feeling better. Today is the day I decided I am going to get back to it. I have activity restrictions; no jumping or running, no bending my head back, no Lifting more than 5 lbs. So what can I do, other than walk, for exercise? I Have a "Cowboy Cardio" DVD that I can do. It's kind of like line dancing, but not so many steps. I probably don't get quite the calorie burn I could, I can't hop, but at least I am doing it. I am making the effort to move. That is a little step, and enough little steps get you from point A to point B. I have my follow up on Monday, so I'll ask about some core exercises on the Swiss ball. More little steps. I am not worried about weight loss this week. If I can keep taking those little steps while I am recovering, then hopefully, the big steps will be easier later.
