Back in DC

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

The new semester starts Monday, and I'm back in my non-air-conditioned apartment, building Ikea furniture, getting permission to audit an intensive Turkish class, and discovering that none of my classes will admit to having textbooks.

Although I've been getting exercise over the summer, I haven't much been on SP. (This might possibly perhaps be because during the school year I'm here alone, and during the summer I'm at home with my husband.) I'll be around a lot more starting next week, though.

To answer both questions, they're (1) regular grad school classes at (2) Georgetown. One prof has already confessed to not ordering by the deadline. It's possible that one or more of the others is using all electronic materials.

    NO AC in DC? YUK!

Where are you going to school? I graduated from Mount Vernon College (now part of George Washington) back in 1991 and lived in the DC area until 2005.

I miss it, especially the restaurants. But it may be a good thing since I love to go out to eat! LOL.

Good luck with the Ikea building and try to stay cool.
