shot in the arm

with a huge needle. full of steroids. OUCH! i am glad i was able to get some more aggressive treatment for the shoulder injury i have had from back in june from volleyball. it had not gotten any better at all on its own. sucks getting old! doc's orders are to rest it completely for 2-3 days then minimal activity ok, but no running, tkd, etc for 2 weeks. so i am currently resting on my back deck surfing the 'net. not all bad :)
and yes, i am old--33 now. had a little get-together with some close friends and fam. cocktails and the yummiest pb filled pretzels ever. i bought them by mistake, heeheee, they were scrumptious, and i will not repeat that buy! cocktails, sushi, cake, other than that. very fun!
and i received some very interesting gifts...hilarious! a little book called "porn for women" that is full of men suggestively vacuuming, cleaning toilets, etc. rotfl (not sure if i am laughing or crying in that pic)
oooops! forgot my fork for my b-day breakfast...
think i know why the scale is back up--131, but bf% still staying low. tanita scale gives me an "8" rating now which is "thin & muscular" which has improved from "5"--average. that number was just another shot in the arm to get back to tracking my food, which is pre-tracked thru thursday now. go me!
kinda a pain and bummed about the forced rest from the shoulder injection, but taking it in stride. mostly i want to be able to get my music re-filed and put away before next week when my students come back. sounds dumb, but filing and shuffling papers would be too uncomfortable for me to do today. hopefully tmw! then going to bust some butt with my friend on the stepper (which will not stress my shoulder) in place of the running. basically i will get the job done no matter what, and left handed if need be!
