We live in a very voyeuristic time where reality tv reigns king. What about doing a "day in the life" type series with the SP coaches or maybe even Chris himself. I think it'd be fun to see exactly how our coaches live. What does a normal meal look like for them? Do they run around constantly? Do they slack off sometime and take a break? Etc. What does Chris' "9-5" look like?
For example, I have my twitter linked up to my phone so that at random times of the day, whenever you post, I get a text message sent to my phone. Somestimes I wonder, "wow, he's still at the office?" (you sent out a tweet kinda late one night) or "interesting, he drinks coffee" (you recently tweeted something about how "nothing a cup of coffee can't fix" Point being, it's interseting to learn about the SP lives! What better than to watch them too!! :)

I enjoyed seeing Becky (the nutritionist) so much at the convention, I would mind seeing more tips from her in video form! :-)

How about incorporating the ability to purchase an item like the body bug... which you could wear during the day and then plug it into the spark pages to show your activity for the day and calories burned... it seems that several spark people members get these and then log here as well as the other sites to incorporate their equipment...
Also... how about adding a few other features that were optional to use... such as a column on the nutrition food logging to rate your saiety(hunger) at the time of eating...as well as the time of day and what you were doing..or a brief comment area next to the meal?

Member videos sound like a good idea...some might have a recipe that they cook up...some might have instructional tips on how to start a running program...for us dummies like me!...or how they circuit train...I just think it would be cool for see some real members doing their thing. Don't get me wrong...the professionals are cool...they're also in shape and can pull their leg up behind them and stretch their quads without having to stand by a chair and put their foot on it so they can grab it and stretch...they're not fat...like me.

How about some instructional videos- things like what a portion size of several different food items looks like, a survival guide for eating healthy while out while eating out, or some tips that lend themselves to the visual - such as the using a smaller plate method.

As I said on Facebook, how 'bout using/linking to member videos? They could be used for the usual testimonial type stuff (e. g. I lost 60 lbs. in 3 weeks or whatever), photo collages and the like. Might be very powerful for new members to see welcome messages from preexisting regular folks.

You know my ideas!
Can't wait to see what comes out.

Taking into account all the exercise and cooking demos you already have, or are planning to have...
How about some interviews with noted health, fitness and nutrition experts, or noted sports figures. You could start with the well-known athletes you recently introduced, or you could line up people like Miriam Nelson, MD (author of several books on women's health and fitness), or John "The Penguin" Bingham, David Kessler, MD (author of "The End of Overeating" - a very compelling book), and many others. Perhaps those who are authors could sign copies of their books or photos, to be sold in the Sparkstore. There must be many worthwhile books that members should know about. Occasionally, these celebrities could be shown talking to selected Sparkpeople members, and giving them advice on their specific diet and fitness challenges. The members to be interviewed could be selected to represent common issues, so that the interviews would have wide applicability to others as well. Those who are academics might choose to give a guest lecture on a specific topic. Researchers could be invited to give talks about the latest treatments for common injuries affecting athletes, and how to choose a specialist if you have a problem (a lot of people don't know that for sports-related injuries and biomechanical problems, they may be better served by a physical medicine and rehab specialist - a physiatrist - than by an orthopedist).
You could also do recorded interviews with some long-time members of Sparkpeople talking about how they came to join Sparkpeople, what it has meant to them, how they use the site, how much they have lost, how to run a successful Sparkpeople team (plan a Sparkrally, write a blog, etc), and what advice they might offer to new members just signing up.
You could also cover topics like: how to plan a healthy vacation, great places to go for a healthy, active vacation, what to do if you're eating out, and so on.
For example, I have my twitter linked up to my phone so that at random times of the day, whenever you post, I get a text message sent to my phone.
