This was the week when I felt like I was put to test for what I have learnt from spark over the past year or so.
What do you do when you are mentally or physically not up for exercise?
This has been the week where due to some (not very serious) medical condition, I have not been able to give my 100% to my cardio routine. Even though I rested completely for 3 days, I did not give up. The moment I felt a little better, I got out and took a leisure walk. I walked for about 45 to 60 minutes. And I felt pretty proud of myself for doing that. I could not do my elliptical and jogging as planned, but I did WALK. I tried to squeeze in things that I don't normally do. I read about backward walking and how it is good for your backside. I did that for about 5 minutes after I got back from my walk outside. I did some light arm and leg exercises without dumbbells. I know in the past, if I didn't feel good, I would have just stayed on my couch. But not anymore. I have been active and I think it is helping me. I am feeling much better.
And thanks to spark, I scored well on my test. This 'change in thinking' is what I call a lifestyle change.
