The Climb...

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Sunday our family went to a beautiful state park in Michigan, Warren Dunes. We travel there several times every summer for the day to enjoy the lake, beach and sand dunes. As usual we climbed the largest dune there, "Tower Hill." Weight loss is also a climb, you try to eat right, exercise, working toward that end result, a healthy body weight. Everything in life worth something has some work involved in it. We are always climbing in life, reaching, stretching, stepping up to get that brass ring. As we reach our goals, let us not forget the climb involved to get to those goals. When I don't feel like exercising, or eating the healthiest, I re-think my climb, adjust my thinking so I can reach my full potential. I know I may get tired along the way, but the end result waiting for me is worth every step of my journey. I may fall flat on my face, but with faith I'll pick myself up and continue climbing until I reach the peak, which is living a life of healthy foods and exercise everyday. emoticon emoticonInga emoticon emoticon

Inga, you are so right our way of thinking sometimes has to be reset. It sounds like a wonderful day something to look forward to each year.

Great analogy. You're right, it is a challenge, but when we reach the summit, what a feeling it will be! emoticon
