I joined the "biggest loser" challenge at my job a few months ago. I had NO HOPE of winning. And, while I didn't win the overall contest, I did come in third place overall. And I came in first place for the women. It's amazing. I used many of the resources here on Spark People. That has helped me physically and emotionally.
