The Metabolism Miracle diet...Day 1

So today is the start of a new lifestyle for me. The first 8 weeks consist of VERY low carbs. only 5 carbs per a 5 hour period. I started this morning at 179.6 lbs. The book says the first 3 days are the toughest bc your body is adjusting to not having carbs and is looking for another source for energy, which will be fat. It says I will be moody, possibly a little dizzy, tired, and maybe headachey. Im hoping it wont be that bad!! I feel fine right now other than heart burn from my Acid Reflux disease. Then again, its only 8:46 am!

For breakfast I had 1 egg & 1 egg white scrambled with 1 tbs of cheese and 2 slices of turkey bacon. It was horrid. Im not a big fan of eggs so tomorrow will definately be something other than eggs. I had to choke this mornings down.

Morning snack will be a handful of cashews and string cheese.

Lunch is undecided at this point. Possibly a low-carb tortilla with sliced turkey and cheese...We'll see.

I plan to blog daily to keep myself on track and hopefully lose the last 40 lbs!

    i started today 9.21.09 on this plan as well. I like it so much today was so easy and i feel great no cravings no hunger and feel full. I can not wait to see what 8 weeks will bring. I have found another forum that there are more ladies on this plan and have been doing it most are on step 2 but new ones are coming in and always welcome to join here is the link:http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/

    Hi! It's great you are taking the first step toward meeting your goal. The diet you have chosen looks a lot like south beach (which is what I am on). There is a great south beach diet spark team that offers info and support if you want to check it out. If you look at my food tracker you will see that we weigh the same, and are eating the same foods! LOL Best of luck on your new adventure.
