We're having a heat wave here in Chicago so I have been indoors with my workouts. I got lots of walking yesterday before the heat was on but my mind started to wonder . . . . What do people do for workouts when it gets so hott? So what are your safe workouts during the heat that blazes 95+?
Well, i usually do indoor weight training or ab work after an early morning run. If I can't get my run in, I'd do jumping jacks, lunges and squats indoors. The hot days are usually my excuse to shake up my routine and add some new thngs in too:-)
This would be a terrific question to post on the team page - I bet you'll find a lot of creative responses will come! As for myself - I try to get my workouts completed early in the day before the heat rises too much. Stay cool!
